As mentioned on many other pages, two diagnoses offered in Donald Trump's 2025-2026
medical reports are demonstrably erroneous.
Let me qualify that. They are not necessarily wholly wrong, because the disease
processes of these diagnoses could indeed be at work in Trump's body.
However, they are wrong in the sense that they are inadequate to fully explain
what the report seeks to explain by them.
To maintain that there are no additional explanations is, to say the least, irregular.
The diagnoses are:
- Bruising is due to "frequent handshaking in the setting of aspirin use" (May 2026)
MORE
- Bruising is due to "frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin" (July 2025)
MORE
Recent photos, showing forearm bruising, and older photos showing facial bruising,
have punctured these bruising diagnoses.
Moreover, the reports mis-stated the
duration of the bruising... by at least three years.
MORE
- Swollen legs are due to "chronic venous insufficiency" (July 2025)
MORE
Since its one mention in July 2025, this diagnosis has not been mentioned again
in any subsequent official public reports. Its inadequacies are discussed at length elsewhere.

Speculation
My sense is that Trump's physicians began pursuing the amyloidosis possibility just after July 2025,
because the July statement was quite definite about the absence of heart failure, renal disease,
or systemic disease (though it did not define "systemic disease").
Additional evidence for this hypothesis exists. It is thin, but telling:
October 2025 saw the introduction of "advanced imaging" (undefined) and the
introduction of the AI-EKG into Trump's reports. This indicates his medical team
had developed concerns sufficient to drive Trump into tests having non-zero risk
and also into experimental diagnostics (the AI-EKG
MORE).
In short, it was the start of their message shifting from something
like
the leg swelling is just vein disease to
a message ultimately like
we did coronary angiography,
pulmonary angiography, and thought hard about cardiac MRI
so as "to definitively rule out any cardiovascular issues"
