47⬅ Donald Trump: Report Irregularities / Ignorings

Report irregularities
President Trump's May 2026 medical report contains many irregularities, organized here into familiar information-corrupting buckets that impede efforts to understand his health:
  • MORE Omissions ... of multiple test results
  • SEE BELOW Ignorings ... of multiple clinical problems
  • MORE Alterations ... of normal test ranges
  • MORE Decoy ... with irrelevant material
  • MORE Ambiguities ... of dates and phrasing
  • MORE Misdiagnoses ... and incomplete diagnoses
  • MORE Fawning ... including previous reports
However, it must be granted that the presidential physician during Trump's second term has twice accomplished something that had not been previously done since January 2018: release in-depth preventive medical assessments of the president. After the January 2018 physical, all subsequent preventive medical assessments of Trump — which excludes his covid bout — were one-page summaries that left many key parameters unspecified.

Comment: The mere existence of these more detailed assessments gives confidence that the system is operating and suggests the president is receiving attentive and principled medical care, despite what the paper trail might indicate. And so, in several places, I do not accept the possibility that Trump has incompetent doctors.

Although the irregularities in the reports raise many questions — especially the changed normal ranges MORE — an outsider finds many obstacles to understanding their origin and significance. Too much of the relevant information is available only to insiders. Genuinely innocent reasons could have propelled some of the irregularities into the report, so full judgment must await access to the inside information.

The White House has defended the limited disclosure of information in Trump's May 2026 medical report by saying:
"No additional undisclosed conditions or procedures materially affecting his health status were omitted from this report." 1
Yet, the May report MORE was silent on these "material" conditionss:
  • Intrusive daytime drowsiness MORE

It is difficult to imagine a condition more material to the conduct of the presidency than failure to remain fully conscious during meetings with advisors and other officials. Sleepiness dulls the mind, and nobody wants a dull-minded president.

  • His chronic anemia MORE

Trump's anemia is mild on an absolute scale, but marked on a relative scale, meaning that it's entirely possible that he feels it as loss of energy and stamina. Worse, if he has heart failure then it will compound the anemia's effect, as each cell in his body is already asking for more oxygen.

The cause of the anemia is another material aspect of Trump's health status. Anemia is not part of normal aging. Whether caused by low testosterone or bleeding or a chronic disease such as amyloidosis ("anemia of chronic disease" is a well-recognized and common medical entity), finding the cause of anemia is always necessary. Ignoring anemia is a recipe for a malpractice lawsuit.

  • Asymmetries in his face and gait (forthcoming)

I'm not ready to comment on the asymmetries in Trump's face and gait, but, as a preview, photos and videos show them intermittently present. The neurological examination in the May 2026 report was said to be normal, but conspicuously omitted the usual descriptor "symmetric."

Neurological signs and symptoms are always "material."

  • The cringeworthy March 2026 neck rash MORE

Although resolved, and although commented upon in March, the May report claims to cover the entire previous year. Thus, the rash should have been included, if for no other reason than to say it had resolved.

  • Facial puffiness MORE

This physical condition was ignored by the report, and is important in understanding Trump's leg swelling.

  • Heart failure and amyloidosis

As the present website explains, reasonable suspicions attend both of these conditions. They should have been addressed in the report. They are obviously material to Trump's health status.
