- RADM (lower half), USN → Captain, USN (demoted after retirement)
- An inspector general investigation into Jackson's management of the White House Medical Unit found numerous faults and concluded that he did not behave in the "exemplary" manner required of Navy officers. The report of the investigation was published in 2021. Sometime between 2021 and 2024 the Navy demoted Jackson, from a one-star admiral rank, to captain. [Diamond]
Notes
- Lead physician at the White House starting in 2013.
- Oversaw President Trump's first physical examination and two of President Obama's.
- Some of his hyperbolic public pronouncements as Trump's physician, when taken literally, invited ridicule... which was delivered.
- In running for Congress in 2020, he demonstrated a sad divorce from reality.
- The White House photographer in 2021 released a photo of Jackson asleep and hungover on an official overseas trip. [Souza]
